> Balance Team's Comment: Since the beginning, Egyptian Economy units have had slightly different statistics than other civilizations' equivalent units. This includes their villagers (higher training time), Fishing Boats (worse gathering rate) and Caravans (worse trade rate, meaning that an Egyptian Caravan will deliver less gold travelling the same distance as other civilizations' Caravans would.) In the Summer Update of 2012, the original developers made the gathering rate for the Egyptian Fishing Boat the same as other civilizations, but the same treatment wasn't done to Caravans, so we are doing that now.

Greetings, fellow Celeste players! Here's a quick review of the changes coming to existing Advisors, making them more interesting/viable for players throughout their questing adventures. This includes buffs, reworks, and in a special case, nerf to a particular Advisor!

This week, we are discussing the first set of Roman Advisors and revealing the final member of the Roman Triumverate, who joins Julius Caesar and Pompey the Great, Marcus Licinius Crassus.

As you may know, these three men formed what is known as the First Triumvirate. Very briefly: In 509 BCE, the Romans overthrew a tyrannical Etruscan king and formed the Roman Republic. During the Republic, two co-equal, annually elected Consuls were held in check by the Roman Senate in some sort of vaguely democratic system. The Republic endured like this for about 500 years.

After taking a few weeks to prepare for the Halloween Event, we are back and eager to continue revealing our new civ. We have tried to be as transparent as possible on our journey to Rome and your collective enthusiasm and patience have been tremendous.

For the core of the civ, we have so far shown you a total of 17 Buildings and 17 Units. That leaves us with 1 more Building (the Wonder) and 7 more units (one Age 2 unit, five Age 3 units, and one Age 4 unit). Meanwhile, we have at least 23 other Capital City buildings planned, and...

  • Bonus Multiplier vs Siege Units increased to x1.25 (baseline), from 1.00
> Balance Team's Comment: One of the Greek civilization's biggest weaknesses is its immobility. This allows Battering Rams to be used to great effect against them. Since most of the Greek army's DPS comes from Pierce-type damage, we feel like they struggle against Rams in Age 3 a little more than they should, so we're giving Prodromos a baseline damage multiplier against Siege in Age 3, but keeping the final amount intact by changing the Prodromos Champion upgrade.
