Yes, by clicking "Play Offline" when you are at main menu in game.

Can I switch from Offline Mode to Online Mode?

Nope, not the other way around!

Custom Scenario

Play custom scenario made by other players using the editor.

You can find custom scenario made by the community here: https://forums.projectceleste.com/resources/categories/custom-scenario.2/

Custom scenarios need to be placed into the folder "%GameFolder%/Scenario ".

Note: Custom scenarios are more limited in features than the quests you play on the online version, and don't allow you to choose your own civilization from the live servers.

Quest

Just like quests, you will be able to choose a pre-made character or a custom one and play both of those game mode, "Champion Mode" is available in both game mode too.

Scenario Editor

Create your own scenario which can be used as "Custom Scenario" or for a "Custom Quest".

Note: Originally the "Editor" was removed from game after its "beta stage", the Celeste team has worked hard to re-implement it in the latest game build and even to improve it, if you find any bug please report them here https://forums.projectceleste.com/forums/bug-report.89/

Let us know what you think of the new Offline Mode below!

Thanks and see you in the game!

Seriously ... you are taking the game to places that .. well I know you don't want to be compared with the orig dev team, (Never my intention ) but really I am a just so happy we all exist in the same universe ... You guys are Legend ...:):):):):)

I just have a question now Im test driving these goodies - These Lvl 40 characters - are they different to my lvl 40 civs ?? Will they change them in any way ?

I can say for sure that the level 40 ones are different from your civ. However, its very easy to create a new character file. There is lots of power there. The character file is where you decide what gear you are going to use for a quest, what can be enabled and even techs. Techs can be made possible to research or even researched. A person can even have a character file that has the alliance techs as well.

@musictopia2

THanks . I had a lot of problems yesterday lots of crashes, but the new update seems to fix it. I tried 1 custom scenario "silk Roads" . I see you start with "Champion mode" .. so thanks for the tip :):)

My rig is not good enough for the editor .... :(:(

I actually found so far the champion mode does not work. I tried it for a few quests but it still showed my gear and my gear still helped my game play. Not that big of a deal though.

@musictopia2, in the custom scenario's I think it does
I tried Silk Road and the Norse Docks and I had Babs / Norse civ w/o any gear . I found 2 chests in Silk Road couldn't open them after killing the guardians, didn't have an inventory anyway ... It's quite fun to play w/o gear :):)

btw How do you load a customer char ??

When I choose offline mode and quest and for instance Greece, I am faced with a very long list of quests with strange names like **[P10]C01.... or <Test Quest>TEMPLATE... . At the end of the list there other quests by alphabetical order. In which order should I play these quests? Start with Level 1 then 2, etc.?
Sorry for my newbie question!

Offline mode is mostly for making your own scenarios and stuff, or playing a few random things when you got no internet. Play online mode, thats where all the good stuff is

Offline mode is also good if you want to create a mod of some quest a person cannot complete online like valley of the kings. for offline, you can create a tech where you can complete it but still not too easy and actually fun. Another good use for offline mode is if you want to see if you can complete with 12 extra villagers, its easy to make it spawn 12 villagers at the beginning so if you find you still can't complete the quest, at least you did not waste the empire points and waste the consumable.
