Offline Mode
- Offline Mode is the place where you can enjoy custom Scenarios created by the community.
- Offline Scenarios do not require any internet connection to be played. Once downloaded, you will always be able to play them.
- Offline Scenarios do not support Gear, leveling or similar RPG aspects of the standard online gameplay and can only be played alone.
- If you create good scenarios, you can become part of our development team to develop official quests.
- If you are interested in Scenario creation, we have linked basic guides at the end of this page.
Starting Offline Mode
To begin playing custom offline scenarios, you have to start offline mode.
To do that, start the Celeste Launcher and click the big "Play Offline" button while not logged in.
If you are logged in, you can click the dropdown arrow next to "Play Online" and click "Play Offline".
In-game click the "Custom Scenario" button to start a scenario.
Custom scenarios can be found in "/scenario/CustomScn"
To add downloaded Scenarios to your game, you have to use the Scenario Manager.
Scenario Manager
You can open the Scenario Manager in the dropdown menu next to "Play offline" or "Play online".
The Scenario Manager shows all Scenarios you have added or created.
To add a new scenario, you can click the Icon which shows a Folder with a + next to it.
To delete a scenario, you must first select a scenario from the list and then click the Trashcan icon.
You can also open the custom Scenario directory directly by clicking the Icon which shows an open folder.
Clicking the "Download" icon at the bottom right opens the Custom Scenario Resources page where you can download custom scenarios.
Scenario Editor
You can start the Scenario Editor in the dropdown menu next to "Play offline" or "Play online".
If your editor is not installed/outdated/corrupted, a dialog will show up which asks you to install/update/repair the editor.
Scenario Editor (Beta)
When starting offline mode, you will notice the "Scenario Editor (Beta)" button. This is a remade Editor based on the latest build of the game. A lot of features are still missing, but you can test it if you want.
Map Creation Tutorials
If you are interested in creating your own maps, we would recommend that you first check the basic editor guide here.

Downloading/Uploading Scenarios
You can find all available custom Scenarios in the Custom Scenario Resources page.
You can upload your own scenarios by clicking the green "Add Resource" button at the top right.
