Unable to accept multiple quests "You have reached the maximum number of active quests"

Hi,

When the Halloween event started, I visited the Haunted Isle to earn some Halloween points, but I can’t accept more than two quests. I’ve had this issue for a while now, but it didn’t bother me too much before since, in some cities, I already have all the quests accepted, so I would just abandon one I didn’t plan to do. However, now (only on the Haunted Isle), I can’t accept more than two quests at a time. When I try to accept a third, I get the pop-up shown below.

I’ve seen some posts about the same issue, but they mentioned it was fixed after an update. I’ve had this problem for a while and can’t seem to get it to go away. I reinstalled the game when I reinstalled my OS, so that shouldn’t be the issue. I’m experiencing this on all my civs.

If anyone has a fix, I’d really appreciate it, thanks in advance!

Overall there's a limit to how many quests you can have accepted in all cities combined. I believe the limit is 300. You should go to other cities and abandon quests you're either not doing right now or don't plan to do. The limit is there due to the game's erratic behavior once you have too many quests accepted.
