Halloween is a big thing in America, where children will experience a few hours of being homeless and rely on the pity of strangers for sustenance. Its' origin story varies, but one story is the Celts believed that during the transitions from year to year, the world of the living and dead intersect. The act of dressing up was meant to hide yourself among the spirits so you presumably, wouldn't be harmed.
Since then it's evolved into the strange tradition of Trick or Treating. Supposedly you either gave the children gifts, or they would play a trick on you, hence "Trick or Treat". I prefer the term "blackmail".
Regardless, we are fortunate to have Halloween models and an enthusiastic team that are able to grow it further. To celebrate we're going to run this little game:
Players either opt into the team of "Trick" or "Treat" by replying in this thread. After roughly a week (exactly when is hidden, use the poll as a rough guide) I will tally up the sides and the majority will receive some Empire Points! If you can, drop your in-game name if it's different to your forum name (so i don't have to chase people up during distribution).
If Treat wins, they received a Treat! If Trick has majority, the Treats were tricked!
Any changes will be posted in a log below.
