The range of Enneris' special attack against buildings cannot be increased

I tried to increase the range of my Enneris with Good sailor ammon(the age 3 ship range advisor) but the range is still 48.

That's about right, dio arm, del arrows and runic should only get you to about 42 range (give or take a smidge depending on item stats), that'll go up to 48-50 (again depending on item stats) with Ammon. They're no greek / egypt siege boats, they don't have as great a range.

A maxed runic and dio arm + arrows (which are fixed stat naturally), would only get you to 42.7 without ammon.

They have a base range of 26(same as a regular trireme) vs 48 on egypt/greek siege ships, arrows aren't going to make up a 22 range difference.

umm he s talking about the anti-building attack, not their normal attack. Enneris has main attack with the 26 range, which you re talking about, but after the champion upgrade they get separate attack against buildings with 48 base range (which is not shown in unitstats btw) and this range is not being affected by gear/ammon which is what toto is complaining about.
 
I see what you mean now, i wonder if that's by design or just an oversight.
 
Im not sure it's a bug anymore. Its a bit annoying to have a range that is not increased by range bonus, but balance wise it would feel too much if they could shoot as far deep inland as the other long range siege ships while also being dominant in the water. I think they still outrange most towers and fortresses with 48 range.

I would be happy with just a notification. I could afford to change the gear to a more damage oriented build and I find it very powerful as it is, but I can imagine people on a tighter budget being annoyed after wasting range gear on something that doesn't work with it.
 
EDIT : since the April 18 update, the range of Enneris' special attack against buildings can be increased with gear but not with the advisor Good Sailor Ammon.
