This post might be a bit early but better early than late I guess. With winter making itself at home in most parts of the world it is only normal that people get ready for Christmas ( some of us, elves, at least
). The event is about the spirit of giving sharing and communities coming together and of course ... Santa Claus, the chubby red guy coming down the chimney with a big bag of presents, leaving a wrapped gift for the nice boys and girls and a Celtic Charcoal for the naughty ones.
What is Secret Santa ?
Well this is the part where each one of us plays the role of Santa for a random allocated person. People simply sign up here (with a post) saying that they want to participate. Anyone can sign up. After some time (to be determined) the sign up will closed and the list of participants will be cut. Each participants will receive at random a person contacts details and will have to be that persons "Secret Santa".
What should I do as Secret Santa ?
You will have to give that person a gift in any way shape or form. It can be sending an ingame item, maybe helping them on a difficult legendary quest (with the winter event just around the corner, offering yourself as a partner for the event is always an option), teaching some one to be better at pvp, sending creative messages ... anything your imagination can come up with. You can send a ingame mail to the person you are a Santa for, or, if you are feeling a bit more bold you can contact them and see what their "wish list" might look like. Have fun, enjoy, get to know someone else, that is what this will all be about.
How to sign up ?
Requirements:
1) You will need an ingame name (and account, duh!?) and a discord account (possibly non-private - so that you can be contacted by either the team or Santa)
Sign-up options:
1) you will have to send either myself or any of the media team a message that you wanna participate in the event

2) you can simply post a message on this threat with your contact details, which again, must be ingame name(so you can receive the present) and a discord name (to be contacted)
3) Ping us on the official discord channel with your ingame name here.
NOTE: You can sign-up anonymously, if you wish to, by sending a private message to the discord names mentioned above.
Event timeframe ?
The event starts as of now and you can signup anytime you wish. The signup gets cut at a subjective time/hour on the 18th of December. After that date no more signups will be accepted. We will take all the names of the people that signed up and we will allocate a random Santa to you AND you will be allocated as a random Santa for someone else.
We will try and contact everyone as soon as possible once the allocations have been done and you can then decide how and when to make your special persona happy.

I understand that it is a busy period of time for most/all of us and this is designed to be done out of the kindness of our hearts. Please do not be a grinch and sign up only to get and not give anything in return. This is a fan made event and there will be little to no policing happening so we rely on the kindness and honesty of each individual.
If you feel like you cannot satisfy that then please do not sign up. If something comes up, which i am sure it will, please contact either the person you are a Santa for or one of the organisers and we will try to sort things out.
