My civs are all currently Lvl 24/25. I can beat this quest fairly easily on my Celts and Greeks, but then on my Egyptians I can't even come close, and then on my Persians I've gotten close a couple of times but can't squeeze out a win. So far I've tried this quest about a dozen times, and I can only win it on my Celts and Greeks.

Question 1:
How are Vemundr's abilities calculated? Is he an exaggerated version of the "Spearman" for he civ you're playing, is his ability to do damage related in any way to the civ you're playing at the time, or is he supposed to be the same for every civ?

Question 2:
If his abilities are not related to the civ you're playing, why is this quest so much more difficult on come civs than others?

Question 3:
Do the tactics of the AI change based on which civ you're playing?

Quests and AI stats don't change based on your civ. However, if a quest is indicated as lv 30 for example and you play it as lv 20, it will be much more difficult. Other reasons why you could be struggling with Egyptians and Persians in this particular quest, other than your level, could be your gear and the fact that the Egyptian units used in this quest are weak, compared to the Celtic ones. Persians don't have an anti- infantry infantry. Try these quests at a higher level with some better gear.

Pipinghot, Reclaiming Sens, should be a fun, relaxing quest. Two tactics to assist having success are: with any civ but especially those identified by FinishedBlock , is to make both priests offered in the troop selection reasonably early. Converting some enemy troops and maintaining your units health will improve your chances very significantly. Secondly, as a winning tactic concentrate on defending the two towers closest together at the south of the map. You will accumulate a winning score here. It allows you to defend both towers with the two priests between. It also allows Vemundr to support both towers and get fast supporting units grouped at either tower to support the other.
Vemundr's upgrades are of course essential, but only aim for the last two after you have the full thirty troops produced. He is essential with his powers to match chief opponents. You delete weaker converted units as you have gold to replace them with better quality troops from your barracks. Priest power times two actually does rock this one.

So if I'm reading you correctly, Vemundr's stats don't change based on your civ, but the stats on your support troops do. I'll have to look at their gear, that might explain my issues.
