Empire Handbook was the old official manual of the original game at the Microsoft website. It provides some basic information on capital city, embassy, hotkeys, quest, game strategy as well as Greek and Egypt civilizations.
In the game menu there is also a button that links you to the Empire Handbook, but that obviously is broken as with the official website gone.
However, you can download a *.pdf version of an ripped old Empire Handbook here. But do note that some of its features, i.e. Tech Tree or Equipment Finder, do not work properly and some information may be outdated.
