Bahram's lottery leaks coins...

glad you're on to this bug or TAX.

When i hit the lotto, it was 21M, I was too excited to "double check" all the numbers =) but I did get a SS of the winning jackpot. Hopefully its fix because every week lots of players pour good money into it.

Can't be tax unless the percentage of it changes from week to week.

I'll keep recording it until some dev see it (which I doubt happened yet) - this should be easy to fix when/if they look into it.

I forgot to check this week since I fall asleep and snoozed of the alarm.

17'975'500 was jackpot given, but dunno what was jackpot promised.

This week it was 1'215'500 coins missing from the promised jackpot.

Forgot to check again.

Payout was 14'076'000 - but missed what promised jackpot was.

Likelly 14.8-15.xM something. Anyone saw - or better made a print screen?

I though I had posted this weeks result already, but I recall now the page was down for service, then I forgot.

Anyhow - this week was as I recall it one of the (or THE) record high win with one of the (or THE) record low missing coins from jackpot, "only" 456'000 coins of the promised jackpot did not reach the winner.

This shows 2 things, one which we already know:

1) The missing coins in no way really dependent on the amount of pool in jackpot, I mean it's not a fixed percentage at least that goes away.

2) Since I this week put in (for first time) a decent amount AFTER I had 1500 tickets (I bought 297 extra), which would mean about 148.5k more in the jackpot I think it's VERY unlikelly that my earlier guess that it could be each ticket bought that don't bring you a token that lands in cyberspace without ever reaching the winner. Since I don't know how many other such it was I can't know ofc, but due to the size of the jackpot the likellyhood for others (like me) would buy more above the 1500 this week should been extra high, and I did it also and don't otherwise.

Anyhow - the result:

ty Sly ... needed that :p

Well - this is either mysterious or very good. This week the payout seems to be what it should - as far as I've seen it's first time since the lottery started.

If it was fixed - ty. And also if you don't mind tell us what it was :)

I've been missing a couple weeks and haven't been as vigilant since last time I checked it was correct - but now again when I look there are coins missing. This week we had what I know is the largest jackpot I've seen since the very early days of Bahram's at least, now 31'214'500 and then was 457'500 coins missing from what was promised:

This week I won the lottery and there was a record in missing coins, about 3x more than ever before - a whole 4'873'000 coins missing from the promised jackpot. Since I won I can also confirm the lowest value was the actual payout (as someone else confirmed earlier was the case another week before).

So - this week we saw ~20% disappear from the jackpot before the coins reached the winner - which is far more than twice more than ever before. Will the difference between the promised payout and the actual grow even further before this is fixed?

Someone on the team is following this now so we'll see if they find the cause and in what direction the fault appears.

Dang, that's crazy. Seems the % of lost coins varies from time to time; 1.6%, 19%, .5%, 9%...

It's too bad that we have no official updates on this bug. Maybe it calculates what the winner invested, or maybe the number of players who played that week, or it just dislikes some players =)

Hi there, I have had an eye on this for the past week in order to be able to replicate this bug in a more controlled environment and today I managed to replicate and fully understand what is going on. The reason why this happens is that the previous gear and prize winner should not win the lottery two weeks in a row. The way this is implemented now is that these tickets are just removed for the two players in questions when the lottery decides who is the gear and prize winner. This will then result in a reduced jackpot that is outputted. The intention was not that the jackpot should be reduced but rather that these players should not win. I'm going to start working on a patch later this week that we will deploy next time we roll out patches. Thanks again @ByFstugan for giving attention to this!
