Bad allocation problem

The bad allocation problem has resurfaced on my system again; especially on the crete missions, it happens every 2nd or 3rd time I play. That has been occuring for the last couple of weeks I think.

Look in your Temp folder if you find a folder called "XLive". XLive should now write automatically crash dumps if it hits a "bad allocation" error.

Sorry for this late answer. The problem has resurfaced; it's always on the same map; Myrtoan Sea in the Defence Crete setings. I think there is a problem with that map. I have checked for an XLIVE folder in my Temp folder. There were none. Moreover I have checked for memory errors. None. Even after a deep scan. Also my harddrive has been tested, and no problems there either.

Can you run the game with the command line argument "--extended-logging"? You would need to setup your installation described like here: https://www.projectceleste.com/install#play_aoeo_celeste_fan_project_without_using_celeste_launcher
and append with " --ignore_rest --extended-logging"

I get this when I try: An error occured in a xlive function! Error Message: Login to "Celeste Fan Project" server failed (timeout), but the executable is running, i just can't get into the game.

I could not either run the game with the parameter you asked me too..Nothing happens after i ran the shortcut; with the instructions showed in your link.
