Maybe you was already in Massalia. As celts go to the land map where your capital is. On the same page is massalia on the very south. Quest giver is "Bard". Maybe you have to do a mission before you get the trade quest.

I also think making the trading fee higher would solve the problem and is an easy solution. I also tend to make a balanced eco but sometimes i noticed: for what? I can just buy everything with my gold, just need vills for buildings.

Well if someone plays a lot, means a doing a huge time investment, it is certain to have good / maxed gear or lots of coins. Just the fact saying like "I'm not rich, but putting 1.5m each week into the lottery" is bit disputed, without this the tread could be about a draw-system change lol

As you mentioned it, the problem is that the goldmines are not placed properly. I only use the mine in candy kourion thought, all other maps caravans are usually most effective. Changing the goldmines so the goldminer camp can be placed over it is for me the solution. Having a +50% goldmine...
