I think it would be simpler to make advisor units get non-champion upgrades from barracks/stables/archery ranges (depending on the unit type). Items would be nice as well but I get the feeling that would make them too overpowered. Just imagine somatophylax having more than 1700 HP and 60 DPS.

Have you tried the legendary Renegades in Cyprus? That is very easy legendary quest where all you have to do is spam spearmen (for the optional quest).

Well, it is supposed to be legendary advisor and should be using legendary gear so all black it is for me but I like the black and gold as well.

The problem I see is that Crete can be time comsuming and instead of spending time replaying Crete and waiting for the end of season people would rather spend time beating legendary quests to get gear immediately.

the first one is pretty much useless, doesnt help with quest at all and most of the chests can be found during the quests and while scouting the map. Also the chests locations dont change on repeatable quests unless it is a random map. the second one can be usefull but I wouldnt give him that...
