I thought this was the post on the forum for the winter event? It's the only one I had as you post on Discord and I've always used as the "official one for the event".

Have you stopped doing that one on Discord and now do two different? Why didn't this one have it? And where is the one you speak of?

I like the new ones as well! Kourion make for a cool short game, and I like the no caravans with a body of water optional to incite trade ships like in Euphrates in disorder.

I really love the frozen water in Marion with all the ships stuck in their hole. Poor sailors, they must not have liked to be charged by cavalry ;)
The ice fishing is cool too. I just hope that my new tc doesn't sink this spring.


I'm wondering if it is normal that the Ice King's Stronghold is so expensive to build compared to the other archives buildings.
The other archives only cost about one legendary game of mats and the stronghold cost 25 average games to build.
I guess I won't be getting many items if I want those 7 Strongholds.

edit: it was said on discord that it could be nerfed next patch. Don't build your strongholds until then.

I also thought it seemed VERY expensive - I mean mainly the 5 hearts now.

On the halloween event you could do 2 missions and have the material for that building (and leftovers) - and in this winter event you need to do twice that to get just ONE heart, and then you need to do that 4 times more, or even more if you do the less rewarding quests. Seems as someone typed a 5 where it should be a 2 or a 1 for the cost for that building. When even 1 Heart would be 4x times as expensive as other such buildings, I really wonder if this was intentional or if it in fact was a mistake.

This sounds very reasonable, but may I ask when next patch is coming? I've been watching the discord for a heads up for four days now, so since I see nothing yet I ask instead :)

Age of Empires Online will turn 10 on August 16, 2021, will we have something planned for the anniversary?

haha .. just realized - came back to change my dumb post - it was so much cheaper than I thought (I thougth like 1, or maybe 2 HEART) that I didn't even think about that.

Sorry for that - but if anyone else is as sloppy as I was then perhaps someone else gets it also.

Thanks for the reply. I can only see one quest giver in the fortress, which is the Abominable Snowman who only gives out the tasks which get you heart shards and exchanges 25 shards for a heart.
Is there a minimum level for the task to exchange a heart for gear?
