† CmK_ submitted a new resource:

Return to Argos - Legendary versions of the Argos questline

I've made 6 legendaries of the argos questline, they aren't the hardest quests ever but legendary non the less :p

Where to put the files:

First download the quest pack.
When you open it you see 3 folders + 6 Scn files.
You place the Quests and AI in the Data folder
(Age Of Empires Online / DATA)

Then you place the Celeste folder inside the rm folder
(Age Of Empires Online / rm)

And last you place the 6 .age4scn files inside the Scenario folder
(Age Of Empires...

To edit the advisors, you edit the quest files. Its an xml file. You can go to this site https://celestechooseadvisors.azurewebsites.net/ to choose other advisors and copy to clipboard which you paste in the quest file under server variables. If you wanted an extra challege, you can even set the level from 43 to 46. That would mean the ai would have more bonuses against you and you would do less damage to the ai.

Thanks musictopia2 - I really want to learn offline .....

I love the quests , they are fun, so nostaligic and "medium" is about right. Well except for the Dock repair, it seems really easy .. maybe it needs a notch up a bit. I only played with Greeks and the enemy hardly ever attacked me . I'll try the other civ's.

Respect to CMK ....

I was eventually going to create legendary versions of all argos quests. When I get to it, then i can see what else can buff it. You can even change ai used. Also, you can set a high economy handicap as well. Of course, you could decide to give yourself more resources to counter the harder ai. I created a really hard version of eyes of an enemy and even the very last tutorial one for celts. One major thing i changed that caused them to attack much more is economy handicap which means the ai produces much more resources in the time. You can also set ai to either turtle or if you like the rush, then even rush.

Wow that is so cool .. I gotta learn this editor . I've been playing Adeshir scenario's as well. Today I did Egypt Alliance with every civ (like a Co OP) ;);) and the Houses one with GR,Per, Babs ... REALLY BIG THumbs up ...:):):):)

† CmK_ updated Return to Argos with a new update entry:

Few changes

> Changed the AI on RepairDocks to Rush_Heavy instead of Ramp_Heavy
> Added some "no build' terrain on the shallow water EgyptianAlliance
> Changed the AI of the egyptian player to Rush_Heavy instead of Rush_Moderate, and made it start in age 2.

just replace the files and it should work :p

The most easy way to give yourself more resources is in player 1, you can change how many resources you start with. If you want, I can post my custom soloi where I started with over 5000 resources each. I also created custom rms that allows even more options. I even created custom techs but is only available by making a copy of the game folder or the online would not work.

YES PLEASE !!!:D:D:D:D

Thanks musictopia2 , You see I have now written 5 test scenarios, about 5 quests and 1 character to teach myself the basics. I did this by snipping code from existing quests, studying the triggers in previously made scenarios and following guides I found.
I am still trial and error but I am used to programming when I wasn't invalided out I was in IT security .
I used to mod for Morrowind, Starcraft Brood War but now I only play Celeste

But there is so much I don't know o_Oo_O.

I made a post in Suggestions , for want of a better place , to record my journey in the hope it will help others. My dream would be to create a user area , Like Argos called the "Twilight zone" where modders could post their home grown quests . I remember how modding kept MW alive well after it's sell-by date and how many innovations came out. But it's a dream :rolleyes:

So yes yes please .. anything and mega thanks
