Is Egypt the strongest Civ?

I've been looking at some leader boards like in Crete and out of the top 10 winners 5 are Egypt with the top 3 being Egypt alone. Since I last played a decade ago Egypt was pretty high on the 'tier list' and I'm just curious if they're still dominating, or are they just really good at PVE?
 
Egypt is one of the easiest civs for pve because of elephants, but when it come to crete, they don't have any advantage. It's probably a coincidence if you're currently seeing a bunch of egyptian players at the top

yes the Egyptians are an easy-to-use civilization and paradoxically their power is due to the elephants of war, when you learn to use the other civilizations properly, you will be able to grasp the strengths and weaknesses (always if you can say) of the other civilizations, but all in all they are strong enough taken individually, in my opinion a civilization that can be defined as more complete are the Persians, although many underestimate them for me remain the favorites
