Infinite Construction sound effect

Sometimes after i have my villagers build something im able to hear them building permentantly until that quest is finished though i understand this is hard to fix as its hard to locate what the problem actually is as it only happens waht i can see as randomly

Have you tried updating your sound drivers ?
If you have onboard sound card, you may have to visit the motherboards site.

My drivers are up to date its within the game it might be when i tab out possibly as i do that quite often while playing

Have you tried playing in fullscreen windowed mode?
Then just hit windows key on keyboard will show the taskbar

It's from alt tabbing, you need to get lucky alt tabbing out again and releasing then pressing it to get back in or restart the quest to fix it. If you ever find alt is stickied and you're auto-garrisoning things into buildings or you cant select units after alt tabbling, then that's also fixed by another alt tab and release.
