Suggestions and fixes welcome as always to make this a better resource.

You can find where gear is from (drops, quest, crafted) using https://search.projectceleste.com/ and see other choices there too. For crafted items ask in trade chat if none are on marketplace, same with items/advisors your are looking for. The community is friendly and generally happy to help out.

You can see the impact of various choices on your units using https://unitstats.projectceleste.com/

I Guess there is an error in celtic longsword man. He wear cloth armor, not the infantry armor ^^

Good guide, but a couple notes on Babylon.

Lancer is a powerful high damage cavalry, and performs best with a pure damage spear like Pharaoh Spear, more even than Gilgamesh Spear (second choice).
Babylon has infinite food, minimal train times, and therefore the luxury of a dozen villagers constantly building forward bases to recuperate any death... not to mention the lancer themselves are very fast and can retrain and reinforce the front in mere seconds after death.
Zahhak is not best in slot for every unit and civilization, and sinking half a million there will be a mistake, in my opinion, especially for the new players that need these guides and dont have the infinite coin.

Bireme forms the backbone of the most powerful navy in the game (PvE); while they are weaker than any ship, they require less population and less train time which means you have a ton more arrow ships, which means you end up having more powerful volleys - but to make the best of this armada you need range, otherwise the ships will clutter and the back rows will not reach any foes. For this reason the best choice is Arduinna / Master Hunter Bow, Delian or Actaeon Arrows, Runic Armoring (epic or legendary, with epic being the same really but costing much less), and indeed Hadad Hull.

Shield Bearer in legendary quests only tanks damage, therefore the best soldier gear I feel is Ice King Greaves as not only does it grant more health, but it also grants the mobility to reposition, reinforce or avoid area damage and lead astray (kite) charging elephants... For shields, Bellerephon (Cyprus) is likely the best choice and an affordable at that, with solstice a minor upgrade against anything non-cavalry. Finally, for the same reasons aforementioned in Lancer above, it is far far better to equip the shield bearer with a Light Spear of the King (for Rhakotis and cavalry heavy maps) or a Spear of Thoth and its upgrade the summer spear, and skip going Zahhak.

cool, thanks Aman, added some of those and will do a pass on the zahhak stuff soon across all the civ sheets.
