Unless there is a huge technical roadblock in adding more GM slots, there isn't a good reason designwise why there aren't extra GM slots, when about every game with a GM-like feature I've played that has released recently lets you post endless listings. It would help give newbies a wider array of items they can buy, as the current quantity of slots heavily incentivizes selling your most expensive goods.

It's true, I was recently going to list a couple of items for sale, but the limit wouldn't let me. Maybe it would be acceptable if you could buy slots for a small fee, although I think it should be free. But buying slots would ensure balance—the more items you sell, the higher your GM level goes, and the higher the level, the higher the limit.
