After the latest update 2.1.1.0 the loading screen with the boat doesn't end

Update: I temporairly solved it, by running a shortcut of spartan.exe. It started imiedately.


See subj. And I have to log out of my computer to get out of the game. I waited 15 minuttes, and was still not finished loading. And I did run a game scan twice.

Been a few players having the same issues, some have ran game scan many times before it worked.
they added multi-thread downloading to speed up the update downloading, it seems it may be causing the problems.. might be corrupted downloads ..

I solved it temporairly by running a shortcut of spartan.exe without using the frontend.

I am having this issue as well. It is very frustrating.

Perhaps it’s unrelated, but my computer has been running extremely slow since I updated yesterday. Something about this last patch is very wonky.

Edit: It seems the slowness only happens after I’ve attempted to launch the game via the launcher. The computer seems to run fine when I don’t have the launcher running.
