Zahhak's Sword's self-heal effect doesn't work in converted units

Was playing the Eritrea quest as Persians making priests and noticed all my converted Asabaras and Immortals were not being healed by the sword.

 

Because it's related I'll post this here: Just played Sardes as Persians and converted an enemy scout, the tooltip said it had 70 LOS which is expected with all 3 legendary LOS items (nerfed) but I sent it to the fog of war and the actual LOS was clearly much lower, as if the scout had no LOS bonuses. I wonder if this also happened in the original game and if it was intentional, but it doesn't make any sense to make it intentional and even show incorrect tooltips.
