Hello friends, here again seeing some details such as archer elephants in PvE, I would like them to be improved as they are currently in champion mode since in missions if they are strong but they take a long time to attack and when they do if the target moves the arrows do not give him the same as his champion archer elephant technology that only gives him -1 of population.
A little love for those elephants since to date those who play Egyptians in missions do not take them out and that they are their best units.

The Elephant Archer is already a fairly strong unit, if not OP unit as it stands.

HP: It has more than double the HP of any other high HP "cavalry archer" type unit (The Carpentom (350) and the Egyptian (280) + Babylonian (340) chariot archers).

AREA DAMAGE: The Elephant Archers are one of the very few ranged units with "area of effect" damage. The Carpentom needs a champion upgrade to get the same area damage as the Elephant Archer, and has 9 less range than the Elephant Archer by default and almost half the damage (28 vs 50) for what is 2 less pop before the Elephant Archer champion upgrade, and 1 less pop after.

RANGE: Lastly, their default attack range is equal to that of the Gastraphetes AFTER the Composite Bow upgrade.

COMPARED TO PERSIAN WAR WAGON: The Elephant Archers also has better stats than the War Wagon with the same pop cost (after champion), and 1 less splash range than it (2 less after War Wagon champion upgrade) while still having 325 more HP in PVE (270 more in PVP) after war wagon champion upgrade, while moving 1.5 speed faster and dealing 10 more damage in PVE (4 more in PVP).

COMPARED TO ADVISOR UNIT: I agree that the Elephant Archers are often overlooked, but considering that they are as powerful as an Advisor unit (Helepolis: EA gets more HP and higher pierce damage) (War Chariot: EA gets higher attack range and splash at cost of 1 additional pop. HP/Damage about the same as the common version) without needing an advisor.

Elephants khepri an Dumnorix just outshine the elephants archers vastly. But they are very strong, and I do use them in certain quests. A future advisor for them that could stand toe to toe with khepri somehow would make them a very viable option.

Now that's a good suggestion. Modify the Khepri's Coin Curator card to make it include the Elephant Archer.

Or that~, would definitely make them a strong fun option!, the food cost is just tough to do. And just much easier to get a huge caravan going.

They're up there with Norse war dogs and post-buff Celts for being strong yet underappreciated in PvE lol
