If you have the launcher in the same directory as the game on C:\Program Files (x86)\Age of Empires Online\, you must create a folder in "My Documents" where you extract the launcher and start it from. A recent change in the launcher causes the launcher to be unable to write to the user configuration file if it is located in this directory. Steam installations are not affected by this issue.

hi wath is the folder name Create in my documents ? and the game not work whit steam ... unstall and install with steam and no working ... same erreur ... i have the game in my pc and my laptop the laptop not working ... the game is kk can play offling the game start is connect to my accont no working .... I have a solution. It worked for me.
First anable "Celeste Game Scanner UI.exe" in your firewall.
Then run game scan as administrator:
1. Open the game folder.
2. Find "Celeste Game Scanner UI.exe" and right click it.
3. Click the option "Run as administrator".
4. Type you password and cllick OK.
5. Now double click "Celeste Game Scanner UI.exe". It should run the game scanner normally and install needed files.
6. Once finished close the game scan window.
7. Now you can start the game normally. Have fun =)
