During happy hour, if I redeem a quest with Wisdom of the Empire active, it shows a total of 288,000 XP (a 3X multiplier of the base XP for winning a game, 96,000), but I am rewarded only 240,000 XP (see ticker history-ends up being a 2.5 multiplier). I haven't tested with gold, but I imagine there's a similar inconsistency with the gold empire consumable as well.
