Launcher 'Game Scan' crashing, hanging, error

I hadn't updated the game for a few months.
Running the Game Scan file-redownloading tool 3 times resulted in 3 different problems (hanging, crashing and an error message [XML, I think]).
Fourth time doing the Game Scan, it downloaded properly and launched.
All is well.

Just a heads up for the devs and anyone who is experiencing this problem should just try, try again.

If I had to guess, my very old laptop or server traffic/latency is probably to blame.
