When trying to sell items through the global market it can sometimes be a little difficult to figure out the value of the item, most people do a price check within the chat but sometimes its great but sometimes it's not so reliable.

An idea i have is when you list any items on the global market you will be able to get an idea on the average value of the item to help know how much to put down.

Here is a visual concept on how it could look like. The algorithm for this feature would be the average of the last five of these items sold on marketplace. If an item has not been sold (new legendary or items) then the suggested price would not show any price until at least 5 items of the same has been sold.

The ? Box is there to help players understand how the suggested price works with short explanation.

The Market has some insane prize now. Small Greek Residence for 5000 gold, Ebony Planks Recipe for 30.000 gold. ect. I wonder who buy them.

You could easily exploit the average price calculation just by working alongside another person(or two) buying up each others items at insane prices, Player A buys item worth 1k for 100k from Player B, Player B returns the favour and does the same for Player A's item in the market, both players have their 100k coin back and have inflated the average price of two worthless items.

The market works as is, items hugely overvalued don't sell and what we could really use is a price and/or text filter to better refine results, so it's not necessary to click through pages of over-priced and junk items.

I tend to not sell stuff on the marketplace simply because there is no way to search for a certain item. Rather than having a "suggested" price why not have a search function?

Hey t3los, thanks for commenting :)

I can see what where your coming from, i have an idea to eliminate this exploit,

    Option A
the suggested price can show the price range instead of the single price. The lowest it has been sold and the average it has been sold. Also to also eliminate this exploit as your were pointing out this algorithm could be used

    Option B
Suggested Price = Average of all sold - Average of last five sold divided by 0.10 - also the formula would be hidden so players would not be able to know how to exploit and formula can be changed at any time by developers to counter cheaters. If the price of the last ten item equals to more than 50% or higher (if players try and get friends to exploit this feature) than usual then it would divide divide the total suggested price to 0.50 or higher depending on how much

So lets say Craft Hammer was average sold is 2000 and the last five sold were 5000 - the suggested price would make the formula conclude to 2800.

    Option C
But if players tried to exploit this - 3-4 friends decide to try raise the suggested price to 5000-9000 but making some ludicrous prices and buying each others, the formula will have a way to counter this by doing a algorith check on difference between the last five sold to the lowest average and if it can detect that it has more than 100% it will be ignored

Some of these options could be combined too.
