Crete crashing - Scallywags on the Seas map

I have attempted to do the Crete quest Scallywags on the Seas (Myrtoan Sea) on a few occasions in the last week and it keeps crashing on what appears to be wave 11 (not 100% sure on wave as first time I just put it down to a random crash but last two two attempts were wave 11). When it crashes, it freezes the screen and I have to force shut down my pc, cannot exit cannot open task mgr etc. My first few attempts on this map have been in easy mode (lvls 5-10, Waves 30, Myrtoan Sea) to get the lay of the land before moving up to harder lvls.

I have done various other maps in particular Sea of Crete, many dozens of times and and at various difficulties and have had very little issues.

Anyone aware of this as an issue or bug or can it be tested.

EDIT: Nvm, have tried a few more 30 waves on this map and all seems to be fine now, just weirdly unlucky on the first three attempts that the game seemed to crash at wave 11.
