Halloween Event 2021 Details!

Hello there Celeste players! The Halloween Event is finally upon us!. (Well, ALMOST!)

Once the Event starts (00:01 UTC 2021/10/23), go to your Empire Store in your Capital City and find all the new quests for the event.

You can find every detail regarding what's new in the event in the attached graphics! We hope that you all have lots of fun playing with friends during the event.

New Quests

On top of the Legendary Quests and the mini-game Quests returning from 2019 and before, we are adding three more Legendaries and two mini-games. This year, we are getting help from the talented RekiemOne who alongside Kire did the quest design, playtesting and bugfixing for this year's new Quests.

Event-exclusive Gear

We've heard your feedback about previous years' event gear, and we're glad to announce that this year, you can get yourself one additional copy of Zahhak's Sword of the Undying and one Zahhak's Amulet of the Undying (for each civilization)!

The Axe and the Idol will also be available for crafting, and there's only a standard time limit of 3 days for the crafting quests.

This year, we are adding a new theme to Halloween Event gear: Attack Rate.

This new effect which is the first of its type in AoEO gear history will allow your units to attack faster than they normally do, resulting in less overkill and more kiting/micro potential for your units, while also increasing the DPS of the unit overall.

To this end, we have also slightly changed the naming of the Event gear, as you can see in the graphic below.

(PF2K's Personal Note: There might be some new stuff added to the Haunted Isle store towards the end of the event!)​

Both in Sparta, and in Haunted Isle. (The Quests have two questgivers who will give you the same quest.)

We are a small community and we are all here to have fun. Please do not ruin the gameplay experience of other players by going AFK in Sparta games, or by doing matchfixing and other abusive behavior. Thank you for helping us keep the Sparta Ladder a fun experience for everyone.

If you see anyone going AFK in Sparta or showing any kind of abusive behavior, please report them to one of our moderators at our Discord Server.

We monitor Sparta activity very closely and will deal with exploiters promptly. This is especially true during Events.

4. Can I get every event Item playing only PvP or only PvE?
Yes! Everything is obtainable by playing either mode.

5. What are Halloween Points, what can I get with them and where do I spend them?
Halloween Points are the special currency of the Halloween Event. You can use them to buy Vanity Gear, Capital City Decoration, Consumables. (and maybe some more stuff towards the end of the event )

7. How long will the event last?

The Event is planned to last until 2021/11/20 00:01 UTC. There has been a timer added to the sidebar on the Forums with a countdown, indicating how long you will have to play the Halloween Event.

Those event quests names crack me up every time .

Do I understand right that we can only turn in the sword and amulet quest once per civ?
Is it ok to buy or sell those quests usage?

You can only turn in the quest that gives sword, and amulet once per civ. Gear is unbound.

Much as I used to enjoy Age of Empires Online and admire the Project Celeste efforts, I find these new events impossible to play. There's not a single quest (save the material turn-ins) that I can win.

Hello... Can someone add a new global quest for kill mummies in quests ? I don't mean mummies which defend a treasure chest. For example name of quest:
"Exterminate mummies"
- Mummies killed 0/10 000
- Rewards Undying Soul 10x, Flawless Emarald 10x, Meteoric Iron 1000x, Blackwood 1000x,
- Repeatable 5 days

Mummies are everywhere especially in quest "The Phantom of the Lava"

I think that it would be good variegation in halloween event for us players.

Global quests with huge counters make the game crash - We had the same happen during the playtesting phase of the Romans where we had a global quest to kill 5,000 Legionaries. It made people's game crash once they reached a higher number of kills.

I guess it's just a matter of very fine micromanagement that I am unable to follow. Videos did not help, unfortunately. Maybe there could be several different levels of difficulty with different levels of rewards, with easier levels for those that can't micromanage or are here just for fun.

you cannot do "Mummy Issues" either ?

 

As of yesterday, I haven't been able to do anything as I'm having trouble logging in. Thought it was because of the maintenance, but even after maintenance was over I was unable to log in. Tried "Game Scan", but it didn't help. Still unable to log in.
