SOLVED Lack of d3dx9_40dll

    Hi Folks,
    Can anyone tell me why the game won't launch due to error quoting lack of d3dx9_40dll ?
    And how I might fix it, please?

    d3dx9_40.dll is is one of many files contained in DirectX software needed to run many games.

    You need the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.
    Go to the MS website:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=35

    Download the installer package there & then follow the install instructions given on that web page.
    Then, after a restart you should be sorted.
