SOLVED Bitdefender finds malware Gen:Variant.Johnnie.83146 when running Game Scan

    @ downloaded file ~370 somewhere. Bitdefender of course deletes the file, and the Game Scan isn't successful.

    False positive?

    Definetly a false positive. The temp folder is used during scans/updates. Bitdefender must have some kind of issue with it. You can look a the public source code on the GitHub

    It is the xlive.dll file that is detected for whatever reason (well, for practically being a crack). It is a false positive. I got around it by downloading the beta update some time ago. But it stopped working and i had to turn off bitdefender temporarily to update the game.

    Yep high chance this *.tmp file is xLive.dll who some anti Av don't like so much :/
