tech tree

Hi,

I was remembering that in the old AoEO we had also another tech tree. I found a thread here where someone was asking if it could be brought back. Imagine, you didn't have enough tech points to have all techs, but those you wanted to focus on. I don't want to started a discussion, if the first or the tech tree we have now is better. But as the original devs came to that point to change it, why not in Celeste?!
Some things in the tech tree I wouldn't like to see changed, but others yes. Especially the upgrades for ram ships is simply poor. I also consider longswordsmen and hypaspists who would get more attention in pve if they would get even an age 4 upgrade. These are only two examples and I'm happy with many techs.
What you think? Is it good as it is? Should there come a completely new tech tree?

I'm not saying that it is something that has to be changed or reworked. Maybe I'm the only one in AoEO that considers that changes in tech tree would be a new opportunity. I remember Marion without optionals once, then they added optionals, and we still play with these ... that was a new opportunity.
