Server Maintenance [March 17, 2019]

Age Of Empires Online Celeste Fan Project will undergo server maintenance the 17 March 2019 starting at 9 AM UTC. Expected downtime is 60 minutes.

 

Authentication to game server has been disabled. Server update will start in 45 minutes!

ChangeLog:

• Now Available: New Legendary Craftables!
• Fixed various accent decoding errors in Spanish, French and German languages.
• War Effort: Quest cooldown increased to 6 days, from 12 hours.
  • (Development Team Comment: War Effort Quests are remnants of the old Alliance Wars, a feature currently not active in Project Celeste. However, the major difference between War Effort Quests in Project Celeste and the old Live build is that here, they award Empire Points whereas they granted Alliance Points instead. This has become problematic and we believe that it encourages a repetitive "farming" behavior on players. This is our first step regarding encouraging active playing of the game instead of logging in and doing a few repeated actions over and over, stockpiling massive amounts of Empire Points. Stay tuned for news regarding an improved daily login reward system!)

• Improved the Athens Region visuals significantly.
• Fixed a tooltip error in the Spanish language regarding the Gift of Balor upgrade for Celts in the Sacred Grove
• Drop Rates adjusted to allow for Legendary Recipes to be dropped in Legendary Quests Rewards, The Elite Meet in Crete and Level 40 Moe's Chests. Legendary Advisor Drop Rate lowered significantly
• Fixed a visual bug with Arrows of the Ice King on Guard Towers.
• Fixed the Babylonian Palintonon's Packed Death Animation model if it was equipped with Legendary Gear.
  
• Lowered crete season length from 12 weeks to 6 weeks
• General Zu's Quest Pack quests have been made more difficult. These changes are not permanent and will be adjusted once again after receiving feedback from the community.

 

Deactivated authentication in order to redeploy the game data. Server will stop in 30 min.
