Server Maintenance [December 12, 2020]

Age Of Empires Online Celeste Fan Project will undergo planned server maintenance on the 12th of December 2020 starting at 5:00 PM UTC (6:00 PM CET). The server will stop responding to login requests at 4:15 PM UTC (5:15 PM CET) meaning you will not be able to log on from this time. We expect the maintenance to last until 7:00 PM UTC (8:00 PM CET).

 

Game server is now in maintenance mode and authentication has been disabled. Server maintenance will start in 45 min.

 

The server is now shutting down and starting update. Expected downtime is 120 minutes.

 

Server is back online.

Changelog:

• Migrated the server to .NET Core 3.1, this involved a rewrite of large parts of the netcode server-side
• Fixed a memory leak that caused the server to lag when a lot of players were connected
• Installed Windows Updates

Note: There were no content-changes in this patch. From a technical point, this is a very large patch. To reduce the risk of bugs in one patch, we decided to have one patch that only focuses on upgrading our infrastructure and support-systems, keeping the game running alive and well.
