How to counter Greek crossbowmen / hoplite / ballista spam combo

I main Babylon and I have lots of trouble dealing with a frontline of Greek Hoplites, Crossbowmen at the rear along with Ballista's. I'm wondering what the best units / strategy would be to counter this type of scenario, and which factions would be a better to counter Greece overall.

the tactic I'm using: any fast moving you can use will be fine as long as you separate them in groups. the main word here is "divide": drag the hoplites as far as you can so you are out of reach of the gastros, attack the ballistas the same way with another group so they dont pound you while your dealing with infantery and possibly use a full line of preists with a very long range to convert the gastros as fast as you can... all of your units should have heavy armor and maximum damage
